The panels in this window have suffered rather at the hands of earlier restorers. Even after Quievreux's work in the 1840's, two pairs of panels were left transposed (7/13 amd 10/16). Since in each case, the switched panels were the same shape and size, the visual effect is not obvious, but the narrative sequence is confused. With the panels in their correct places, the narrative sequence would have followed a conventional bottom to top, diagonally boustrophodonic pattern. | |||||||||
