Panel B6 - At the shrine, the mother sees her son approaching (2/2)
In panel A6 (exterior setting indicated by the stylised bush), St James sends the boy off to the right, where he will meet his parents. Here in B6, which is set at the entrance to the shrine (note the vegetation at the bottom of the left half but the detailed interior details of the shrine to the right), the distraught mother turns back to see her son approaching from the left, while the father remains wrapped in his prayers.

This panel works rather brilliantly with the preceeding one to express the exact moment of the family's reunion, even though it does not show them all together. This is, for the designers of the otherwise rather 'ordinary' visual narratives at Tours, a stroke of genius of the sort more normally found 50 years earlier at Chartres and Bourges.
