Panel 03 - St Margaret vanquishing a demon

 © Stuart Whatling, 2009

The observation made here (where the panel is shown reversed) that "Margaret wears a red dress and a conspicuous white belt, possibly reminiscent of the rolls containing her life that were used as belts for women in labour." must be tempered by the fact that identical white belts appear elsewhere in this window, worn by St Catherine (e.g. panel 07) and even by the evil Maxentius (panel 11).
