Panel 03 - A saint in a doorway
This panel, one of two original panels that were repositioned in the lower half by Coffetier, is difficult to identify because of the loss of context. It could be Ananias leaving his house before receiving the Lord's message, it could be Judas welcoming Saul to his house on the Via Recta in Damascus, or it could be a later scene involving St Peter. One thing that is certain however is that this is not St Paul - the artists in this window were meticulous about always showing Paul with his distinctive receding hairline (one of the very few physiognomic details were medieval artists generally were consistent).
