20 - Anticipating his own death, Anthony gives his sheepskin cloak to Athanasius
Description:
Any item of clothing worn by a saint or holy man had some level of relic status but the gifting of a cloak (literally the passing on of a mantle) seems to have had special significance. St Athanasius, as well as being Anthony's hagiographer, was seen in some ways as his spiritual successor.
